Hikingbook's Safety Watch is designed to facilitate better communication between hiker and his/her family or friends. When activated, you can use the function to:
1. Automatically update your current location on a private webpage, which can only be accessed by those with the link. (Note: requires data connection)
2. Appoint up to 3 safety contacts. Your safety contacts will receive important updates about your current hike, such as: start hiking, finishing hiking, by emails and/or SMS messages.
3. In case you are overdue, your safety contacts will receive alerts notifying your delay, by which they can take actions or call for help if they deem necessary.
